For the first time in his living memory, Grindstone Creek had failed to freeze over. While not the most newsworthy sign of our warming climate, it struck Christian personally - climate change is now so ubiquitous that even a small creek in his hometown of Aldershot was seeing its direct affects.
Christian took the plunge as a candidate because he doesn't want his younger brother to inherit a world worse off than now - and if things don't change, that is exactly what will happen. Already our planet is facing a crisis, now over 1°C warmer than the previous century - its code red for humanity.
As a member of the Green Party, Christian will make tackling climate change a core priority, ending the incremental processes preferred by past governments and pushing for strong, radical, and direct change in our system. If we're going to change our way of life for the better - it's time to be daring.
The Green Party is not just about championing climate justice -
we're also champions for social change and equality across the world.
